In her installations, paintings and videos, light as material and as subject is the central focus. She also works as a lighting designer and scenographer and since 2018 she has been creating her own performances, together with Bosse Provoost. Their work is imbued with a fascination for light, sound, space and scenography. Recently they created SUN-SET (2020) and Indoor Weather (2021). SUN-SET, is an installation-performance taking place in the blackbox. In this work the evocative effects of light and darkness on a spectator are the central theme, creating the experience of a theatre space that is constantly transforming. In Indoor Weather, they used the entire technical apparatus of a big stage theater to create a fictional ecosystem. |
